AR-15 Lapel Pins

Really?

“Some Republican members of Congress have been sporting controversial new pins on their lapels 𝗜𝗡 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗦𝗛𝗔𝗣𝗘 𝗢𝗙 𝗠𝗜𝗡𝗜𝗔𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗘 𝗔𝗥-𝟭𝟱 𝗥𝗜𝗙𝗟𝗘𝗦.” “They say the pins are symbols of their commitment to the Second Amendment and Americans’ right to bear arms.”

“But Democratic lawmakers and gun control advocates have been quick to denounce the flashy adornments as 𝗧𝗢𝗡𝗘-𝗗𝗘𝗔𝗙 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗗𝗜𝗦𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗣𝗘𝗖𝗧𝗙𝗨𝗟 𝗧𝗢 𝗩𝗜𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗠𝗦 𝗢𝗙 𝗚𝗨𝗡 𝗩𝗜𝗢𝗟𝗘𝗡𝗖𝗘 𝗜𝗡 𝗔𝗠𝗘𝗥𝗜𝗖𝗔.” “𝗔𝗥-𝟭𝟱-𝗦𝗧𝗬𝗟𝗘 𝗦𝗘𝗠𝗜-𝗔𝗨𝗧𝗢𝗠𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗖 𝗥𝗜𝗙𝗟𝗘𝗦 𝗛𝗔𝗩𝗘 𝗕𝗘𝗘𝗡 𝗨𝗦𝗘𝗗 𝗜𝗡 𝗠𝗢𝗦𝗧 𝗢𝗙 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗛𝗜𝗚𝗛 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗙𝗜𝗟𝗘 𝗠𝗔𝗦𝗦 𝗦𝗛𝗢𝗢𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚𝗦 𝗜𝗡 𝗥𝗘𝗖𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗬𝗘𝗔𝗥𝗦, 𝗜𝗡𝗖𝗟𝗨𝗗𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗔𝗧 𝗥𝗢𝗕𝗕 𝗘𝗟𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗔𝗥𝗬 𝗦𝗖𝗛𝗢𝗢𝗟 𝗜𝗡 𝗨𝗩𝗔𝗟𝗗𝗘, 𝗧𝗘𝗫𝗔𝗦; 𝗦𝗔𝗡𝗗𝗬 𝗛𝗢𝗢𝗞 𝗘𝗟𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗔𝗥𝗬 𝗦𝗖𝗛𝗢𝗢𝗟 𝗜𝗡 𝗡𝗘𝗪𝗧𝗢𝗪𝗡 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗡.; 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗥𝗢𝗨𝗧𝗘 𝟵𝟭 𝗛𝗔𝗥𝗩𝗘𝗦𝗧 𝗠𝗨𝗦𝗜𝗖 𝗙𝗘𝗦𝗧𝗜𝗩𝗔𝗟 𝗜𝗡 𝗟𝗔𝗦 𝗩𝗘𝗚𝗔𝗦.” “INSTEAD OF ADDRESSING GUN VIOLENCE HEAD-ON AND TAKING ACTION TO SAVE LIVES, certain members of Congress have decided that FLAUNTING AR-15 PINS DAYS AFTER MULTIPLE MASS SHOOTINGS IS A CLEVER WAY TO SUPPORT SECOND AMENDMENT RIGHTS.”

“Enthusiastically distributed by Rep. Andrew Clyde from Georgia - to remind people of the Second Amendment of the Constitution and how important it is in preserving our liberties - newcomers Rep. (“& scandal plagued”) George Santos of New York and Rep. Anna Paulina Luna of Florida were spotted with the pins.” Democratic Rep. Jimmy Gonzalez of California “pointed out that Luna wore the pin less than 48 hours after her state, Florida, experienced a mass shooting that injured 11 people” with “two victims critically injured.” “Democratic Rep. Cori Bush noted that lawmakers wore the pins during National Gun Violence Survivors Week.” “Andrew Clyde owns a gun store and has now taken responsibility for handing them out.” “The congressman owns Clyde Armory in Athens, WHICH MAKES MILLIONS SELLING MILITARY-STYLE RIFLES, body armor, ammunition, and other weapon accessories” selling “a wide array of semi-automatic rifles, including many AR-15 variants.” “The Congressman’s stake in the company is worth up to $25 million.” “His handing out of the lapel pins comes after there have been an estimated 54 mass shootings in the United States so far this year,” as of February of this year. (As of now, “the United States has faced at least 202 mass shootings, according to the Gun Violence Archive.” “There have been more mass shootings than days in 2023.”) “Clyde is not the only Republican lawmaker to be handing out unusual objects –  (Trump backed) Rep. Cory Mills (R-FL) handed out inert grenades to his colleagues as a welcome gift last week.”

“In all actuality, 𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗦 [𝗔𝗥-𝟭𝟱 𝗟𝗔𝗣𝗘𝗟 𝗣𝗜𝗡] 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗜𝗦 𝗔𝗡 𝗜𝗡𝗦𝗨𝗟𝗧 𝗧𝗢 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗩𝗜𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗠𝗦,” of mass shootings, said Adzi Vokhiwa, federal affairs director of Giffords, a gun control advocacy group. [I agree. Plus, it’s a weapon of violence and mass destruction that should not be donned, supported, or advertised.] “Other Democratic lawmakers also commented on the pins, with Rep. Dina Titus tweeting: ‘𝗪𝗘𝗔𝗣𝗢𝗡𝗦 𝗢𝗙 𝗪𝗔𝗥 𝗛𝗔𝗩𝗘 𝗡𝗢 𝗣𝗟𝗔𝗖𝗘 𝗢𝗡 𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗘𝗘𝗧𝗦, 𝗠𝗨𝗖𝗛 𝗟𝗘𝗦𝗦 𝗢𝗡 𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗟𝗔𝗣𝗘𝗟𝗦.’"

This is so not of the Lord Jesus Christ and His Father.
